Sync Your Calendar to Devices

Learn how to sync your Waymaker calendar to your phone, tablet, or computer.

Before You Start

You'll need:

  • Your email address (e.g., you@yourcompany.com)
  • Your email token (found in Commander > Email > Settings > Devices tab)

Important: Your email token is different from your Waymaker password. Use the token only for device setup.

Finding Your Email Token

  1. Open Commander at commander.waymakerone.com
  2. Go to your email inbox
  3. Click the Settings gear icon
  4. Select the Devices tab
  5. Click Reveal Token and copy it

CalDAV Server Settings

Use these settings for any CalDAV-compatible app:

Replace {email} in the path with your actual email address.

Full URL example:

https://dav.waymakerone.com/SOGo/dav/you@yourcompany.com/Calendar/personal/

iPhone & iPad

If you set up email using ActiveSync (Exchange), your calendar is already syncing.

  1. Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts
  2. Tap your Waymaker account
  3. Ensure Calendars is enabled

Method 2: CalDAV (Calendar Only)

Use this if you only want calendar sync without email.

  1. Go to Settings > Calendar
  2. Tap Accounts
  3. Tap Add Account
  4. Select Other
  5. Tap Add CalDAV Account
  6. Enter your details:
    • Server: dav.waymakerone.com
    • User Name: Your full email address
    • Password: Your email token
    • Description: Waymaker Calendar
  7. Tap Next
  8. Wait for verification
  9. Tap Save

Your Waymaker calendar will appear in the Calendar app.

Android

If you set up email using ActiveSync (Exchange), your calendar is already syncing.

  1. Go to Settings > Accounts
  2. Tap your Waymaker (Exchange) account
  3. Ensure Sync Calendar is enabled

Method 2: CalDAV with DAVx5

Android doesn't have built-in CalDAV support. Use the DAVx5 app.

  1. Install DAVx5 from Play Store (or F-Droid)
  2. Open DAVx5
  3. Tap the + button
  4. Select Login with URL and user name
  5. Enter:
    • Base URL: https://dav.waymakerone.com/SOGo/dav/
    • User name: Your full email address
    • Password: Your email token
  6. Tap Login
  7. Select which calendars to sync
  8. Tap the sync icon

Your calendars will now sync with your device's Calendar app.

macOS (Apple Calendar)

Steps

  1. Open System Settings (or System Preferences)
  2. Click Internet Accounts
  3. Click Add Account
  4. Select Other CalDAV Account (scroll down if needed)
  5. Select CalDAV as the account type
  6. Enter:
    • User Name: Your full email address
    • Password: Your email token
    • Server Address: dav.waymakerone.com
  7. Click Sign In
  8. Choose which apps to use (Calendar, Reminders)
  9. Click Done

Your Waymaker calendar will appear in the Calendar app.

Windows (Outlook)

Method 1: Use Outlook Mobile

The Outlook mobile app supports CalDAV. Set up as described in the Android/iPhone sections using Outlook instead.

Method 2: CalDAV Synchronizer Add-in

For Outlook on Windows desktop:

  1. Download CalDAV Synchronizer from outlookcaldavsynchronizer.sourceforge.io
  2. Install and restart Outlook
  3. Go to CalDAV Synchronizer tab
  4. Click Synchronization Profiles
  5. Click Add new profile
  6. Select Generic CalDAV/CardDAV
  7. Configure:
    • Name: Waymaker Calendar
    • Outlook Folder: Select your calendar folder
    • DAV URL: https://dav.waymakerone.com/SOGo/dav/{email}/Calendar/personal/
    • Username: Your full email address
    • Password: Your email token
  8. Click Test settings
  9. Click OK

Thunderbird

Steps

  1. Open Thunderbird
  2. Go to File > New > Calendar
  3. Select On the Network
  4. Enter:
    • Username: Your full email address
    • Location: https://dav.waymakerone.com/SOGo/dav/{email}/Calendar/personal/
  5. Click Find Calendars
  6. Enter your email token when prompted
  7. Select your calendar
  8. Click Subscribe

Troubleshooting

"Cannot connect to server"

  • Verify your email token is correct
  • Check the server URL is dav.waymakerone.com
  • Ensure you have internet connectivity
  • Try using the full URL including your email in the path

"Authentication failed"

  1. Go to Commander > Email > Settings > Devices
  2. Click Reset Token to generate a new token
  3. Update the password in your calendar app with the new token

Calendar not appearing

  • Wait a few minutes for initial sync
  • Check that the calendar is enabled in your app's settings
  • Try removing and re-adding the account

Events not syncing

  • Pull down to refresh in your calendar app
  • Check sync settings are enabled
  • Verify your device has internet access
  • Check that background sync is not restricted

"Certificate error"

  • Ensure you're using dav.waymakerone.com (not qboxmail.com)
  • Check your device's date and time are correct
  • Update your device's operating system

Tips

Multiple Calendars

If you have multiple calendars in Waymaker, each has its own path:

  • Personal: /SOGo/dav/{email}/Calendar/personal/
  • Work: /SOGo/dav/{email}/Calendar/work/

Check Commander for your calendar names.

Color Coding

Most calendar apps let you assign colors to calendars. Color-code your Waymaker calendar to distinguish it from others.

Sync Frequency

  • ActiveSync: Near-instant (push)
  • CalDAV: Depends on app settings (typically 15-60 minutes)

For faster CalDAV sync, reduce the sync interval in your app settings.
