Sync Your Contacts to Devices
Learn about Sync Your Contacts to Devices in WaymakerOS.
Learn how to sync your Waymaker contacts to your phone, tablet, or computer.
Before You Start
You'll need:
- Your email address (e.g., you@yourcompany.com)
- Your email token (found in Commander > Email > Settings > Devices tab)
Important: Your email token is different from your Waymaker password. Use the token only for device setup.
Finding Your Email Token
- Open Commander at commander.waymakerone.com
- Go to your email inbox
- Click the Settings gear icon
- Select the Devices tab
- Click Reveal Token and copy it
CardDAV Server Settings
Use these settings for any CardDAV-compatible app:

Replace {email} in the path with your actual email address.

iPhone & iPad
Method 1: ActiveSync (Recommended)
If you set up email using ActiveSync (Exchange), your contacts are already syncing.
- Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts
- Tap your Waymaker account
- Ensure Contacts is enabled
Method 2: CardDAV (Contacts Only)
Use this if you only want contacts sync without email.
- Go to Settings > Contacts
- Tap Accounts
- Tap Add Account
- Select Other
- Tap Add CardDAV Account
- Enter your details:
- Server:
dav.waymakerone.com - User Name: Your full email address
- Password: Your email token
- Description: Waymaker Contacts
- Server:
- Tap Next
- Wait for verification
- Tap Save
Your Waymaker contacts will appear in the Contacts app.
Android
Method 1: ActiveSync (Recommended)
If you set up email using ActiveSync (Exchange), your contacts are already syncing.
- Go to Settings > Accounts
- Tap your Waymaker (Exchange) account
- Ensure Sync Contacts is enabled
Method 2: CardDAV with DAVx5
Android doesn't have built-in CardDAV support. Use the DAVx5 app.
- Install DAVx5 from Play Store (or F-Droid)
- Open DAVx5
- Tap the + button
- Select Login with URL and user name
- Enter:
- Base URL:
https://dav.waymakerone.com/SOGo/dav/ - User name: Your full email address
- Password: Your email token
- Base URL:
- Tap Login
- Select which address books to sync
- Tap the sync icon
Your contacts will now sync with your device's Contacts app.
macOS (Apple Contacts)
Steps
- Open System Settings (or System Preferences)
- Click Internet Accounts
- Click Add Account
- Select Other CardDAV Account (scroll down if needed)
- Select CardDAV as the account type
- Enter:
- User Name: Your full email address
- Password: Your email token
- Server Address:
dav.waymakerone.com
- Click Sign In
- Ensure Contacts is selected
- Click Done
Your Waymaker contacts will appear in the Contacts app.
Windows (Outlook)
Method 1: Use Outlook Mobile
The Outlook mobile app supports CardDAV. Set up as described in the Android/iPhone sections using Outlook.
Method 2: CalDAV Synchronizer Add-in
For Outlook on Windows desktop:
- Download CalDAV Synchronizer from outlookcaldavsynchronizer.sourceforge.io
- Install and restart Outlook
- Go to CalDAV Synchronizer tab
- Click Synchronization Profiles
- Click Add new profile
- Select Generic CalDAV/CardDAV
- Configure:
- Name: Waymaker Contacts
- Outlook Folder: Select your contacts folder
- DAV URL:
https://dav.waymakerone.com/SOGo/dav/{email}/Contacts/personal/ - Username: Your full email address
- Password: Your email token
- Click Test settings
- Click OK
Thunderbird
Steps
- Open Thunderbird
- Go to Tools > Address Book (or press Ctrl+Shift+B)
- Click File > New > CardDAV Address Book
- Enter:
- Username: Your full email address
- Location:
https://dav.waymakerone.com/SOGo/dav/{email}/Contacts/personal/
- Click Continue
- Enter your email token when prompted
- Give the address book a name
- Click Continue
Troubleshooting
"Cannot connect to server"
- Verify your email token is correct
- Check the server URL is
dav.waymakerone.com - Ensure you have internet connectivity
- Try using the full URL including your email in the path
"Authentication failed"
- Go to Commander > Email > Settings > Devices
- Click Reset Token to generate a new token
- Update the password in your contacts app with the new token
Contacts not appearing
- Wait a few minutes for initial sync
- Check that the account is enabled in your app's settings
- Try removing and re-adding the account
Contacts not syncing
- Pull down to refresh in your contacts app
- Check sync settings are enabled
- Verify your device has internet access
- Check that background sync is not restricted
Duplicate contacts
If you see duplicates:
- Disable other contact sync sources temporarily
- Merge duplicates in your contacts app
- Re-enable sync
"Certificate error"
- Ensure you're using
dav.waymakerone.com(notqboxmail.com) - Check your device's date and time are correct
- Update your device's operating system
Tips
Default Account
Set Waymaker as your default contacts account so new contacts are saved there:
iPhone/iPad:
- Go to Settings > Contacts
- Tap Default Account
- Select your Waymaker account
Android:
- Open Contacts
- Go to Settings
- Set Default account for new contacts
Contact Groups
Contact groups created in Commander will sync to your devices. Use groups to organize contacts by project, team, or category.
Sync Frequency
- ActiveSync: Near-instant (push)
- CardDAV: Depends on app settings (typically 15-60 minutes)
For faster CardDAV sync, reduce the sync interval in your app settings.
Backup
Your contacts are stored on Waymaker's servers and sync to your devices. This means:
- Contacts are backed up automatically
- If you lose your device, contacts are safe
- Add a new device and sync to restore contacts
