Commander
My Role
Learn about My Role in WaymakerOS.
PersonalOrg ChartRole
My Role shows your position in the organisation chart — your role title, purpose, reporting line, and accountabilities. It's a quick reference for understanding where you sit and what you're responsible for.
What you'll see
- Role title — your position name
- Purpose — what the role exists to achieve
- Reports to — who you report to in the org chart
- Accountabilities — what you're responsible for delivering
How roles work
Roles in Commander define positions, not people. A single role can be unassigned, assigned to one person, or (in some cases) shared. Your My Role view shows the role(s) assigned to you.
Roles are created and managed by organisation admins through the Roles & Org Chart tool. If your role information seems incorrect, speak to your admin.
Connecting roles to work
Your role connects to other parts of Commander:
- Goals — objectives can be assigned to role holders
- Tasks — work is assigned to the person in the role
- Teams — roles sit within team structures
- Performance — role holders are tracked in performance views
