RecordingScreen CaptureVideo

Rushes is Commander's built-in async video tool. Record screen captures, camera videos, or both — then share with your team, add time-coded comments, and track who watched. No external tools needed.

What can you do with Rushes?

  • Record screen captures with narration, or face-to-camera videos
  • Share instantly with public links, password protection, or embeds
  • Collaborate with time-coded comments tied to specific moments
  • Organise recordings into libraries by project or team
  • Track view analytics — who watched, completion rates, watch time

Recording your first Rush

  1. Open Rushes from the sidebar
  2. Click Record
  3. Choose a recording mode:
    • Screen — captures your screen with optional system audio and microphone

  5. Record your content
  6. Click Stop when finished
  7. Review the recording

Your Rush is uploaded and ready to share.

  2. Type your comment in the input below the video
  3. Submit — the comment is linked to the current timestamp
  4. Other viewers can click any comment to jump directly to that moment

The Rush library

Grid and list views

The Rush library shows all recordings with two view options:

  • Grid view — cards with thumbnails, duration, view count, and status
  • List view — compact table with the same information

Use the search bar to find recordings by title.

Rush libraries

Group related recordings into libraries for team or project organisation. Libraries have their own:

  • Title and description
  • Sharing settings (independent from individual Rush sharing)
  • Access controls (owner, admins, or all members)
  • Embed codes for websites
