Public Forms
Learn about Public Forms in WaymakerOS.
Share your forms with anyone using a public URL. Respondents don't need a Waymaker account to fill in and submit.
Publishing a form
- Open your form in the builder
- Click Publish in the toolbar
- Your form is now live at its public URL
The public URL format is: commander.waymakerone.com/f/your-form-slug
Form URL and slug
Every form gets a unique slug derived from its name. You can customise the slug:
- Open the form settings sidebar
- Click URL Settings
- Edit the slug
- Save
Keep slugs short and descriptive:
/f/contact,/f/feedback-2026,/f/job-application
Sharing your form
Once published, share the URL via:
- Direct link — copy and paste the URL into emails, messages, or social media
- Website embed — embed the form on your website using an iframe
- QR code — generate a QR code that links to the form
Domain security
For forms embedded on websites, you can restrict which domains are allowed to embed your form:
- Go to WaymakerOne > Forms > Form Domains
- Add your website domain (e.g.,
yourcompany.com) - Only certified domains can embed your forms
This prevents your form from being embedded on unauthorized sites.
Form status
- Published — live and accepting submissions
- Private — form exists but the public URL is disabled
- Archived — form is removed from active views
Change status from the form settings sidebar. Setting a form to Private immediately stops the public URL from working.
Submission confirmation
When someone submits your form, they see a confirmation message. You can customise this message in the form settings.
