Overview
Connections let you link external services, data sources, and tracking to your Waymaker workspace. Every connection lives on a Connection Canvas — a visual workspace where you manage all your integrations in one place.
Connection Types
| Type | What It Does | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Signal | Website and app analytics | Track visitors, clicks, and conversions on your website |
| Webhook | Receive data from external services | Get notified when a Stripe payment succeeds |
| API | Sync data from any REST API | Pull guests from Newbook or invoices from Xero |
| MCP | Connect AI tools to external servers | Give AI Chat access to Google Analytics, Search Console, or any MCP server |
How Connections Work
- Create a Connection Canvas — from the sidebar or workspace menu
- Add connections — click "+" to create a new connection
- Choose a type — Signal, Webhook, API, or MCP
- Configure — each type has its own setup flow
- Monitor — events flow into your workspace, visible in the Event Log
What Makes Connections Different
Unlike standalone integration tools, Waymaker Connections are part of your workspace. Events from your website analytics sit alongside your tasks, documents, and goals. This means:
- A form submission in Signal can be linked to a lead in your Contacts table
- Webhook data from Stripe can update your revenue tracking
- AI Chat can query external tools through MCP connections
- Everything is searchable, filterable, and visible to your team
