Overview

Connections let you link external services, data sources, and tracking to your Waymaker workspace. Every connection lives on a Connection Canvas — a visual workspace where you manage all your integrations in one place.

Connection Types

TypeWhat It DoesExample
SignalWebsite and app analyticsTrack visitors, clicks, and conversions on your website
WebhookReceive data from external servicesGet notified when a Stripe payment succeeds
APISync data from any REST APIPull guests from Newbook or invoices from Xero
MCPConnect AI tools to external serversGive AI Chat access to Google Analytics, Search Console, or any MCP server

How Connections Work

  1. Create a Connection Canvas — from the sidebar or workspace menu
  2. Add connections — click "+" to create a new connection
  3. Choose a type — Signal, Webhook, API, or MCP
  4. Configure — each type has its own setup flow
  5. Monitor — events flow into your workspace, visible in the Event Log

What Makes Connections Different

Unlike standalone integration tools, Waymaker Connections are part of your workspace. Events from your website analytics sit alongside your tasks, documents, and goals. This means:

  • A form submission in Signal can be linked to a lead in your Contacts table
  • Webhook data from Stripe can update your revenue tracking
  • AI Chat can query external tools through MCP connections
  • Everything is searchable, filterable, and visible to your team
