Email Builder

Email BuilderDesign

Design emails visually with a drag-and-drop block editor. No HTML required — build professional emails by stacking content blocks.

The editor

The email builder has three areas:

  • Left panel — available content blocks
  • Centre — the email canvas
  • Right panel — settings for the selected block

Content blocks

Text

Rich text content with formatting (bold, italic, links, lists). Use for the main body of your email.

Image

Upload or link to an image. Set alt text, width, and alignment.

Button

A call-to-action button with customisable text, URL, colour, and size.

Columns

Split the email into 2 or 3 columns for side-by-side layout. Each column can contain its own blocks.

Spacer

Adds vertical space between blocks. Set the height in pixels.

Divider

A horizontal line to visually separate sections. Customise colour, width, and padding.

Social

Add social media icon links (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube). Icons link to your profiles.

Pre-formatted footer with unsubscribe link, company address, and legal text. The unsubscribe link is required for compliance.

Global styles

Set styles that apply to the entire email:

  • Background colour — the email body background
  • Content width — narrow (600px) or wide (800px)
  • Font family — choose from web-safe fonts
  • Link colour — the colour for all hyperlinks
  • Button defaults — default button colour, border radius, padding

Personalisation

Insert dynamic content using merge tags:

  • {{first_name}} — recipient's first name
  • {{email}} — recipient's email address
  • {{company}} — recipient's company name

Type {{ in a text block to see available merge tags. The builder shows a preview with sample data.

Subject line

Write the subject line at the top of the builder. Use merge tags for personalisation (e.g., "{{first_name}}, here's your weekly update").

Preview text

Set the preview text — the snippet that appears next to the subject in email clients. If not set, email clients pull from the first line of the email body.

Preview and test

Click Preview to see the email as it will appear in recipients' inboxes. Click Send Test to deliver a test email to yourself before sending to your audience.

Mobile responsiveness

Emails are automatically responsive. The builder optimises layout for mobile — columns stack vertically and images resize. Use the preview toggle to check the mobile view.
